Good, Better, Best

So in church this Sunday we had a Sunday School lesson on Good, Better, Best (it was war conference). We discussed all the things that that we felt we were "bests" in our lives, the struggles with accomplishing these and how to overcome our struggles. So just a couple thoughts from that fist one of the struggles that everyone mentioned was time... and I have to agree but then I started thinking about all the TIME I have spent looking at other peoples blogs and the time I have spent "blog surfing" So now it all comes to a halt... don't get me wrong I'll still read all of your blogs... I just won't be surfing as much as I used to. We also discussed that some of the struggles were the same as the ways to overcome these struggles. Things we struggle with like daily scripture study, daily prayer..ok those were the main two... but they are also the answers to getting our bests... Anyhow that is what I have been thinking about lately and I am working on time management... so if I miss a couple days... don't hate me!

Butcher Paper and GIRLS CAMP!

The other day for FHE we decided to finger paint a mural for our singles ward to help with unifying the ward. So I was in charge of getting the butcher paper for us to paint on. While I was sitting at the kitchen counter doodling on a piece of butcher paper I was reminded of the times that we had butcher paper as our table cloths at girls camp. For those who were in my ward we played these little games finding out the possibilities of finding true love with a certain boy or mash. Remember when the guys were having scout camp at the same time a few camp sites over... or the time Sister Bird told me to be quite because I was too loud, or the frog, Julia, and Afton Dawn, or the time Kara came up to visit us right after she had just gotten her wisdom teeth pulled. Didn't something else exciting happen that year??? And of course you couldn't forget our last year at stake girls camp...oh and I just remember the time Mandy scared her mom to death after our hike and that same year we had a sleep over in the cabin, or stealing sister McCalister's Curling iron... ok enough with the memories. At the beginning of every summer I miss the good ol times we had as the 15th ward!!! I always think it would be so fun to be able to go to girls camp with a family ward and then I remember that those girls have no idea who I am and the only reason we enjoyed ourselves is because we knew each other so well.... Remember the beehive and mia maid sleepovers... Mountain brownies anyone? ANYWAYS I DON'T REALLY KNOW THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS POST BUT JUST TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE!

Meet Fred... For those of you who aren't aware... I used to own a little black Ford Focus like the one pictured here... but then I was T-boned... and so I had to get a new car... So I bought Goldie pictured below... at least that is what my friend Dallin decided to name her and it has just kind of stuck. Oh and just a side note... i bought her from a really good friend and got an amazing deal...we may have ended up dating for a while... about that :)

Anyhow since I bought my little Ford, (aka Fix Or Repair Daily) I have been pretty impressed except the fact that my passenger side, rear door didn't lock and the controls for the windows on the drivers side were falling through almost to where they were inside the door. (I hope that makes since..I am not a very good person to be explaining things... especially when it comes to a car!) Anyhow so yesterday my father and I went out to see if we could fix these few little issues. We started with the controls since that was an easy fix. Just take off the covering to the door and push it back through. Then we started on the back door, got it all taken apart and decided that we needed a new part so I called a few junk yards around and found the part. I could go into a really long story about how the man at the shop laughed at me when I told him that I could take it out myself and how I did end up doing it myself. I could also start talking about how it took me an hour and a half or how I burnt the back of my neck. We could also discuss how the man was impressed that I did it and gave it to me for $15 instead of the $20 he quoted me for. So long story short I got the part all by myself broke it while I was taking it out of the other car, came home helped my dad fix the little part that I broke and then put it in my car and guess what! Now my car works and is perfect again!!! all for $15.00 and about 3hours of work. I think however next time I need to replace something I'll get it from the Junk yard but I'll pay the extra $5.00 for them to take it out and just give it to me!

My $600

I looked in my bank account today to realize...I am $600 dolllars richer!!! It was such a large amount of money and I didn't know what to do with it so I bought....A JUMPROPE!!! I know its exciting and it only cost me &12.00 at target which means that I have some 580 left!!!! What ever will I do...Maybe get out of debt? Just a thought! Any how so I have been using this jumprope for the past 2 days (I know its a long time!) and it is fantasitic. Now ask me in a week if I am still using it religiously and the answer could be no but hopefully the two friends that also bought them will be using them with me... we'll have a miniture jumprope club!

I Found HIM!!!

Well I don' t know where to start... first his name is Tyson Titian and for those of you who didn't know I was dating someone...well I'm not :) "He" is just this truck that I have been admiring for ages and one day hope to buy. Now if you don' t like it and want to convince me not to.. its not going to work. .. I am in love and most say, well actually all say love is blind. While we are on the subject of trucks I saw this bumper sticker and loved it!!! pretty much it made me laugh!

Can't you see it now... Me with this black beautiful truck... This bumper sticker on the back window...!!! I can see it and I am using laws of attraction to get it to me...(The Secret... for those who haven't read it... its good)

Another One Bites the DUST!!!

Well it is official number 20 of 44 roommates got married this last weekend. oh and I just found out that another ex, past, former (whatever you want to call it) roommate is getting married. However Portland was amazing!!! It didn't even rain, which we had all been praying for. I think I have decided that I am a good luck charm... almost half of those roommates either got married and kicked me out or got married right after I had lived with them... Maybe I could start a business... Want to get married?? Have I got the plan for you. Wait... I don't know how to take this issue... either someone lives with me and I drive them crazy and they realize that they don't want to live with girls anymore or...lets not discuss the other options...
Now I don't want you all to comment on how one day it will happen to me... its ok... I am so very happy for all my roommates and I am not THAT old and I know "one day my prince will come"...(Jessica breaks out in song) But until that time I get to enjoy the joys of being single!!!

Hair Cut

It's been six weeks which means... I get to get my hair cut!!!! For about the past year I have had it pretty short. I love getting my hair cut!!
